History of the federation of Netherlands Societies (abridged)
Officially commenced in July 1966 the Federation was incorporated on the 1st day of November 1967.
Three of the many objects were:
o To advance the interests of the affiliated organizations.
o To promote celebrations of a general Australian and /or Dutch character.

Neerlandia hopes to celebrate its 56th Anniversary, at the D.A.S. Neerlandia Club House, on August 7 with a roast dinner buffet, wine included. Members are free, non-member partners $ 30.00. Their A.G.M.: 21st August. Fathers Day luncheon: 5 September, free for fathers. Eurofest in September. Melbourne cup: 9th November. St Nicolaas will visit Neerlandia Club December 5th. Neerlandia Christmas Dinner:11 December. Klaverjas Christmas Tournament:12 December (to be confirmed) Every Sunday Neerlandia has hot lunches and every Thursday the club house is open from 11 am to 3 pm. for fingerfood, like croquettes, chips, herrings, spring rolls, prawn cutlets. They also cater for special occasions at a reasonable rate. The club's premises are available for hire, for further info ring Miep Bosschieter on 9982 2981. |
